Keeping a Character Journal

Character journals are great places to work out motivations, and to record a character's personal thoughts on the situations that surround them. If you'd like to start one, just follow the steps below.
- Start a thread named after your character, that offers some indication it's a journal thread. Example: Severus Snape's journal is labelled "Severus Snape's Journal". Other good titles might be "Diary of [Character Name]" or "[Character Name]'s Notebook".
- Put a date stamp at the top of each entry -- at least a year, if you're not quite sure when it takes place. Example: *~Year, # of Month~*
- Remember that what you read in other people's journals cannot be used in IC interactions. You know these things, but your character doesn't.
